Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George's County

And

The Greater Maryland Paranormal Society

Are pleased to announce a very special workshop and public investigation of

Snow Hill Manor on Oct 22nd 2010 at 730pm.

Snow Hill Manor was originally built circa 1755 by Samuel Snowden on 500 acres that he received as a wedding gift from his father. Snow Hill Manor is a 2 1/2-story brick plantation house of late Georgian style that is located on 15 acres of land in Laurel, Maryland and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1974.

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at paranormal investigating and want the chance to do it with a team that has been in the field for a number of years? Want to see if you have what it takes to find what goes bump in the night? Are you a skeptic or a believer in ghosts? This is your chance to not only try out paranormal investigating, but a chance to investigate a location that has a lot of stories attached to it. On Oct 22nd, there will be a modified workshop as you the public will be allowed to take part in a mini investigation of this Historic Manor. During this you will learn a little bit about the history of the house, see a short video on the GMPS team, and get hands on training on the tools of a ghost hunter. Take part in an EVP section to see if the former owners or there slaves are still walking the halls and rooms of this old house. And what investigation would be complete with out evidence. So we will go over the recorders there on the spot and see if anyone was home. George Washington him self has visited this house, but does he ever stop by of a visit even now?

Do you have what it takes to be a paranormal investigator?
